According to a 2016 market-wide study, CPAs send an average of 1.4 referrals to lawyers per month, and they receive meaningful work from lawyers in return.  Because CPAs often refer corporate, tax, and estate matters to law firms, we have arranged a unique event where participants will network with over 160 CPA firms from throughout the U.S. who will be attending the Nashville SuperConference at the same time as the Roundtable Retreat.

Networking Event: Monday, June 5 from 3:00-4:20 pm (prior to opening remarks on Day 1)

Quarterly Implementation Sessions

Following the Retreat, participants can engage in quarterly, one-hour interactive discussions that examine the challenges related to effecting change at a law firm. These sessions will address issues such as time constraints, politics, culture, and other distractions that so often eclipse the execution of long-term strategy. Participants will use the Implementation Sessions to keep their plans top-of-mind and adapt them throughout the year for ongoing success.

Frequently Asked Questions

Who is the Roundtable for?
The Roundtable is for current law firm leaders (e.g. managing partners, marketing partners, their inclement successors, practice group leaders, or other partners who want to benefit from a peer group of growth-minded leaders in the industry).

How long is the program?

The Roundtable is a year-long program that includes the in-person Retreat as well as quarterly Implementation Sessions. Members are invited to renew each year but are not obligated to do so.

What makes the Roundtable different from other leadership development programs?

While most programs focus solely on education, the Roundtable combines education with cross-sector networking and follow-up implementation. We recognize that one of the biggest challenges facing law firm leaders is not necessarily acquiring new information – it’s applying the information. The incessant interruptions, firm politics, market-driven obstacles, and the constant pressure to satisfy client needs often result in a short-term, tactical focus. You may put out the “fires” but that’s not the same as creating long-term impact. That’s why we provide the option to participate in the Implementation Sessions – so that you can revisit your strategic objectives regularly and establish the momentum needed to realize your vision in the months that follow the Retreat.

How do I register?
Click the button below to register for the program. You will be prompted to pay the annual membership fee of $5,000.

What if I can’t attend a session?
Attendance at the Retreat is mandatory but if you need to arrive late or leave early your facilitators will provide a written summary of the presentations you missed. We will record all Implementation Sessions and make them accessible to members who are unable to attend a given session.
